Kitchen notes

Simple care tips that keep your tools looking new

A little care goes a long way. Here is how we look after our favorite pieces at home.

01

Silicone bakeware

  • Wash in warm, soapy water before the first bake.
  • Set molds on a baking sheet so they stay steady going in and out of the oven.
  • Let bakes cool a few minutes, then flex the mold gently to release.
02

Stainless steel tools

  • Dry right after washing to keep the finish bright.
  • Skip bleach and abrasive scouring pads.
  • Keep graters and peelers in a drawer tray to protect their blades.
03

Cutting boards

  • Use separate boards for raw meat and fresh produce.
  • Scrub with hot, soapy water and rinse well after each use.
  • Let boards air-dry upright so both sides dry evenly.

What are your products made of?

How do I look after silicone molds?
Wash them in warm, soapy water before first use and after every bake. Place molds on a flat baking sheet when moving them in and out of the oven, and let bakes cool for a few minutes before gently flexing the mold to release.
